WAR GAMES
War Games
Review
The movie WarGames was released in 1983 when computers and networks were not safe enough for constant human contact. The movie is about a young man that could enter to an important doing some research of a man that created games that could learn from every time the game is played, but theres a special one that has a special name. The young man decided to play that game so he started a war between Russia and USA that it always been a fake simulation of some missiles and other weapons destroying the united states. The man that created was insane because its family died in a terrible accident, so he created the mind of his son in the super computer. At the end the United States was closed of starting the third World War two, but just one game could destroy the simulation, It was the tic tac toe game because is very hard to learn how to win every time, it is always a draw or it has a lot of probability of a tie.
The first half of the movie was interested but the second half was bored and silly. However, because it immediately connects with our nightmares about thermonuclear war and a world ordered by unreliable computers, it grabs us where we're most vulnerable. WarGames leaves one with the nagging suspicion that the possibility of thermonuclear war is worth more thought than has gone into this particular film.
I was hoping a better final for that great intro, but still an acceptable movie for those days, and the revolutionary ideas from that moment that changed a lot in this days.
